Hi There! I just wanted to hop on here real quick to share the cuteness overload and get back to spending sunday with my family Upstate.
These two are practically inseparable!
My parents dog is 7 month old Rooster and on the right is our 6 Year old girl Mila. When my parents first brought home Rooster I was worried Mila wouldn’t take well to another dog in the house because for quite some time she was the only one and didn’t shy away from all the attention but she’s a sweetheart and very welcoming, In fact she loves to be greeted by Rooster when we walk into the door, I think she’s more excited about seeing him then anyone one else and he is the same way. It’s adorable to see these two together but don’t let the cuteness fool you because they do get into some mischief from time to time! 😂
Mila is going to be 5 years old on August 31 (next Saturday) so today’s blog post is a recipe for homemade dog biscuits, I can’t take full credit for the recipe since I found it on Pinterest, seriously, is there anything you can’t find on there?!
1 3/4 cups uncooked Oatmeal
1 large Banana
1/2 cup Peanut Butter (NO xylitol)
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.
- Blend your oats until they’re powder.
- In a bowl mix together the banana and peanut butter.
- Dust 1/2 cup of powdered oats on flat surface you’ll be working on.
- Pour the rest of the oats into the bowl of peanut butter and banana, and mix until combined. It should not be too sticky if so, blend more oats.
- Use cookie cutter and place on a non stick cookie sheet.
- Bake treats for approximately 15 minutes, or until edges start to brown.
- Let it cool before serving and store extra in a air tight container for 7 days.
*Avoid peanut butter that contains Xylitol as it is poisonous to dogs!!
Christmas is just around the corner and we’re feeling festive! I made Mila some cute holiday oatmeal biscuits. Want to share the holiday cheer with your pup?
- Non-stick Baking Sheet
- Cookie Cutters
- 1 Ripe Banana
- 1/2 Cup. Peanut Butter (all natural is better)
- 1 3/4 Cup. Plain Oatmeal (I use Bob’s Red Mill rolled oats)
- Measuring cups
- Rolling pin (optional)
1. Set oven to 350 degrees.
2. In a bowl mash the banana and scoop out peanut butter into the bowl.
3. Blend oats to a powdery consistency. Set aside 1/2 a cup to dust the counter surface.
4. Pour the oats into the bowl and mix the peanut butter, banana and oats together. If it is too sticky blend more oats.
5. Dust surface to lay down dough and smooth out with rolling pin and cut out your desired shapes.
6. Bake for approx. 15-minutes or until the edges are golden brown. Let it cool down before serving.
*Store in an airtight container for approx. 7 days.
*If you use non-natural Peanut Butter, Ask your pets vet if it is safe for your dog.

🐾3 Ingredient PUPsicle🐾
- 1 Banana
- 1 tbsp. Peanut Butter
- 1 cup. Plain Yogurt
- Popsicle Molds
Directions: Blend all the ingredients in a blender and place them in popsicle molds to freeze for 3-4 hours.
The walls in our bedroom are painted white and with my love of all things macabre I figured why not add some stick-on bats!
