Cons

Overall Rating 4.8/5

This palette is even prettier in person, trust me! The eyeshadows are all beautiful and fun because of the bright ,vivid colors making this is the palette I would reach for. The price is very affordable for the quality which is why Colourpop quickly gained popularity when the company started up in 2014.

Day in and day out I usually opt for neutral eyeshadows but lately I have been wanting to get creative with my eyeshadow and I found this palette which offers 9 pressed eyeshadows for $12! That’s a great deal! They blend well together and all the colors are opaque which I like.

The only downsides is the glitter fallout from the metallic eyeshadows, I noticed specks of glitter around my eyes and cheeks but it could be because I didn’t use a glitter-adhesive eye primer or it could just be the formula it self, I washed my face and noticed I still had glitter residue and some slight staining of eyeshadow left on my eyelids which was gone the second time I washed my face so that was a bit of a bummer but it didn’t put me off from keeping this $12 palette because I still enjoy the colors.

Has anyone else experienced staining from some of the pigments?

Wet N Wild Color Icon Review

I love how affordable Color Icon Eyeshadows are by Wet N Wild. I had the old formula of “Walking On Egg Shells” when it was just a trio. Now reformulated as a quad Wet N Wild added a matte transition shade which blends well, it practically matches my skin tone.

This is my simple everyday eyeshadow quad for daytime looks. With the exception of the nude transition shade the other 3 (browbone, crease and eye lid shadows) are mostly shimmer. I love how they are labeled which adds a helpful guide to the consumer as to where to apply each color although you can use them however you’d like! I personally like to also use the shimmer shades for highlighting the bridge of my nose, and qupids bow.

Pros

Affordable

Multi purpose

Easily blendable

Cruelty Free

Vegan

Cons

none

Overall Rating: 4.9/5

Considering this is my second time purchasing I would say I am quite the fan and for $2.99 it’s got a great price point, the colors are great for creating a everyday look and easy to take when traveling, no need to pack a big eyeshadow palette. Other than being stoked on the price I also like how easy these apply and blend together.

I am not too sure if this specific eyeshadow quad will accommodate all skin tones however they do have 5 other quads with different shades.

Have you tried any Wet n Wild products? I would love to hear your recommendations!

I didn’t photograph the product because at the time I thought it was a keeper but the day after I received it in the mail I ended up returning it to Sephora. I truly want to love this foundation for its longevity, buildable coverage and of course SPF30, As a person who loves to take 1,000 #selfies using this foundation made my skin look flawless there was no filter needed. It hid blemishes, evened out the skin-tone and held up quite well on my oily skin. My only despondency with this product is the lack of shade range, St. Mortiz was too tan for my natural skin though it photographed well and Groenland was too light and for $44 each I was not going to dish out $88 to create a in between shade. I think Nars was on to something good with this matte skin tint line however fell short with their lack of color range.

*Please note that Nars Cosmetics is owned by the parent company Shiseido whom is not cruelty free

I looovee this primer! Before making the much needed switch I used the NYX Shine Killer Primer which was just horrible, it didn’t do any justice for my oily skin, this primer however doesn’t show up as oily as the other one did, I love this product!!

Okay so here is alittle back story about my product experience in the past with Milani, back in highschool I mostly used drug store cosmetics and Milani was my first brand of instense eye shadows, I remember buying a matte bright blue and the pigment was freaking amazing! It was my staple eyeshadow and afforadble for a teen my age at the time. I love that this brand is cruelty free and also uptains good quality products.

These rose blushes were apart of a limited addition line however due to its popular demand Milani decided to make them permanently a part of their blush line (smart move Milani!) I’m in love with everything from the rose detail to the color choices and intensity, you can apply lighty for a natural look or glow or a more opaque coverage. The Tea Rose is my absolute favorite but I find all 3 colors to be flattering for any skin-tone.
