Easy Snack

Rice Cakes: Do you Love ’em or Hate ’em??

I have been meal prepping which has been successful the past 2 weeks, but one thing I forgot to incorporate was snacks! How could I forget?! as a junk food lover I usually opt for a mini size candy bar or a small prepackaged fruit pie but even those aren’t the healthiest. Today I was craving something sweet and there was no candy bars or fruit pies to suffice my sugar craving.

During my last grocery run I brought whole wheat rice cakes as a healthy snack but no matter what flavor they are, it just taste too plain so I threw on some fruit, peanut butter and ground cinnamon for flavor and it tasted just fine! I should’ve added some flax seeds and cacao nibs for the added fiber and antioxidants.

Simple Sunday

This mornings rainy weather called for pancakes whilst listening to doo-wop music in the background. I usually make buttermilk pancakes but during our recent grocery run I picked up Kodiak Cakes peanut butter crunch mix. I improvised todays breakfast which turned out to be better than I thought and I’m glad Marcin liked them 😊

These pancakes are topped with strawberries, cacao nibs, peanut butter, syrup and Reese’s peanut butter crunch cereal (you can substitute for vegan cereal)

Jcoco Couture Chocolate

I’m usually not much of a chocolate lover but believe me when I say I am hooked! This couture chocolate by Jean Thompson definitely satisfied my chocolate craving and then some. Jcoco transcendence starts from the 100% recycled packaging to the all natural, non-gmo chocolate. Jcoco also donates a portion of sales to Food Banks in New York,San Francisco, Seattle and Boston.

The packaging has a velvet matte feel and inside contains 3 beautifully wrapped 1. ounce bars with mod yet trendy photographs, the chocolate is wrapped with a rose gold wrapper and inside contains the delicatable chocolate, it melts in your mouth…its addicting! You can literally see the coconut shavings as stated it contained which is a great thing because its not overly processed or artificial coconut. I must admit, I ignored the suggested servings as my taste buds wanted more!

A couple days later I had reached for a kit-kat bar as it was in close reach and It just wouldn’t do, it didn’t satisfy my craving I could even taste the low grade quality in comparison to Jcoco.

If you don’t believe me I recommend you purchase one or two for yourself or gift it to anyone with a sweet tooth.
